After the Spotify Collapse, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Could Join Rivals Audible With a New Deal
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been busy with new business ventures since their exit from the royal family. The famous couple has been exploring new deals and projects to keep their family afloat after the Firm cut them off financially. For months, they have been making headlines for their Spotify deal, which collapsed four months back. Reports suggested the podcast failed to meet the productivity benchmark required for the full payout from the streamer.
Despite all the problems the duo has faced during this time, they have a ray of hope now. The latest reports reveal the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could join forces with Spotify’s rival Audible.

On October 10, OK! Magazine rolled out an exclusive report giving updates on the audio projects of Sussexes. Sources told the outlet that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry might relaunch their podcast Archetypes on Audible. The podcast ran on Spotify for one season, but the partnership was called off owing to heavy investments. However, this thing does not seem to affect Amazon-owned brand and their executives appear interested in collaborating with the royal couple.
“Harry and Meghan are retooling, retrenching and preparing to change course in their efforts to establish themselves,” remarked an insider. According to OK! sources, the pair has been working hard to make their production company Archewell successful. They probably will thrive in the coming year because their talent agency, William Morris Endeavor, was also actively working on negotiations.
This positive turn in the events came some days after Spotify executive Bill Simmons criticized the Duke and Duchess. So if this potential talk moves forward, it will wipe out the monetary hit Markle and her husband took when Spotify pulled out.

According to the information Express received from insiders, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry can make millions from the Audible deal. If they reach an agreement, the couple needs to give priority to the company for any audio projects. However, if Audible rejects it, then they can market it anywhere that provides them freedom. “It’s the sort of deal some elite moviemakers enjoy with major film studios,” noted the outlet.
There is a great chance of this deal because Prince Harry already has a strong connection to the audiobook and podcast platform. He launched his memoir through Audible, which he narrated himself. Currently, Spare has been offered free to the listeners as a part of the promotional deal.
