After the Historical Inaccuracy Elon Musk Points Out Another “Flaw” in ‘Oppenheimer’ with a Hilarious Meme
Elon Musk is all for science, but not when it comes to watching Oppenheimer. Bomb, cinematic magic, and even Cillian Murphy could not impress the billionaire in every way. For the rest of the world, this was one of the most awaited movies, finding itself in constant competition with Barbie. All eyes look for constant comparison even now, but the history-based flick has its flaws, as pointed out by Musk.
Christopher Nolan is known for making cinema an experience. He had been studying and wanting to do this movie for a long. But the real USP of the movie was no usage of extreme CGI effects, which pulled the audience to the theatre. In the process, they did one thing that Musk and those alike have a problem with.

Making viewers stick to a movie is indeed an art, and Christopher Nolan is an artist. The Interstellar director had all hopes on him as the much-awaited movie finally hit the theatres on the 21st of July. Reviews of the movie are out, but Elon Musk offered his thumbs down with a post. The photo shared by him showed the flick playing in the theatre, with a hand holding a phone. “This movie is way too long,” read the photo’s caption.
On the phone’s screen, one could see the currently trending TikTok star who goes by the name PinkyDoll. Her “ice cream is so good” video has gone viral to show how NPC content is forming a strong wave. The tweeted photo suggests him watching that content over Nolan’s movie, simply because he feels that the latter is too stretched.
Notably, the photo in Musk’s tweet was originally posted by a user named Eriz Zhu. The Twitter owner seems to have used the photo without credits to share his views on the movie, which Twitterati has duly pointed out.
While Musk (and others) feel the movie is too long, this is not the only ‘flaw’ that the movie is criticized for.
This historic drama has been called out for an inaccuracy
The world of the internet is quick to point out mistakes, and Oppenheimer apparently has a couple of them. One of them pointed out a particular scene where Americans are waving the flag to the physicist. The year shown is 1945, but the country’s flag had 48 stars back then, and not 50. It was only in 1959 that the extra stars were added to the flag for Alaska and Hawaii.

This, of course, was a small flaw of an otherwise perfect movie. As for it being long, this was already public knowledge, considering how detailed the creators wanted to be with it.
