After Starring in Nearly 40 Action Films, Netflix’s CAO Arnold Schwarzenegger Shares His Top 3 Action Films of All Time
To escape the monotony of daily life, people have always turned to movies to see their favorite actors in action-packed films. That is why it came as no surprise when Arnold Schwarzenegger took over the film world. Schwarzenegger is a name that is extremely well known to both younger and older generations. Best known for his action-packed role in The Terminator franchise, the actor has managed to try his hand at everything, whether it was acting, bodybuilding, or politics. With over fifty-plus movies to his name, and nearly forty of them being action movies, it makes sense that the actor is on the list of the action men of Hollywood.
According to a conversation with Rotten Tomatoes, as reported by Far Out, the Austrian Oak shared his top 3 favorite action movies and discussed the actors who motivated him to act and are the reason he took up The Terminator franchise.

3) The Godfather
The Godfather, a crime film directed by Francis Ford Coppola that came out in 1972, is not only one of The Terminator‘s favorite movies but also considered one of the greatest films of all time. With “well-fleshed-out characters,” Schwarzenegger said that the movie, “combined story with action.”
The Oscar-winning movie featured a lot of big names like Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, and even Diane Keaton, who all played out an Italian mob story. Being a Mafia story, the movie got major attention when it first came out and to this day is considered the best trilogy series in the world by fans.
The actor says that the producer of the movie, Al Ruddy, made him love it more by telling him stories of what it was like on set back in the day.
2) Westworld
The MGM sci-fi western, Westworld, that was directed by Michael Crichton also played a huge part in getting Schwarzenegger into the world of action, with the actor even saying that Yul Brynner’s machine gun scene was what got him “really interested in playing The Terminator.”
The storyline of Westworld is very futuristic, being set in the Wild West with robotic gunslingers that can be shot at until everything suddenly takes a turn for the worse. The movie was later adapted for television in 2016 and has become somewhat of a hit.
1) Unforgiven
Unforgiven when it came out in 1992, was something unlike what the world was used to, and the same was to be said for the FUBAR actor. He also went on to talk about how he always loved Clint Eastwood’s movies, so much that he actually followed the star’s career.

Basically considered a triple threat, Clint Eastwood not only directed but produced and even starred in the Oscar-winning movie. Having “idolized” Eastwood since before he came to the USA, Arnold Schwarzenegger was one of the lucky few that actually get to meet and become friends with their idols.
