The House of Windsors and the Sussex family of four have long been on dead ends since the infamous Megxit of 2020. The Duke and the Duchess, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle renounced their royalty and moved abroad seeking a “normal and private” life. However, little did they realize that their children might have to pay the price for their mount-shattering step that sent shockwaves around the world. And so did it happen, the Sussex’s kids were always deprived of their extended family, unlike their royal cousins at the Palace. However, King Charles made sure he did not neglect his duties towards his estranged grandchildren, especially Princess Lilibet.
Although in between a hurdle in a dysfunctional family, the members have tried their best to keep up with their duties. And as Princess Lilibet of Sussex, turned two a couple of days ago, her royal relatives across the pool came under tight scrutiny. As was inevitable, no response from the Palace raised a lot of eyebrows. However, King Charles’ sweet gesture has calmed down the fandom, although he was quite late to do so. According to reports by Marca, Grandfather Charles gifted the Princess a fancy and custom-made cubby house.

It might sound like an ordinary gift but the history attached to it makes it all the more valuable for the royals. As per reports, it was the late Queen Elizabeth II who originally received it as one of her birthday presents. Sources told OK! that King Charles “wants to give Lili something she will use and be hers, that she’ll remember forever”. And what could be better than gifting a family heritage, especially the one so closely attached to the Monarch, whom the Princess shares her name with?
But what was the reaction of the Susssexes?

The gift of King Charles to Princess Lilibet did not please Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
Reports suggest that although the King bestowed a sweet present for his one of the youngest grandchildren, it did not suffice for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. In fact, Prince Harry had reportedly sent a clear warning to his father regarding the gift.

Reportedly, Prince Harry got wind of the idea and quickly let King Charles know. The father of the Princess did not want to see such a gift appear at their home in California.
