When Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney acquired Wrexham AFC, many doubted the Americans’ ability to run a football club. After three years of back-breaking hard work, the duo proved them all wrong by spectacularly transforming the Welsh club. As they did so, a big chunk of their journey was documented and displayed through the series Welcome to Wrexham. 

And now taking the journey forward, Season 2 of the show is set to arrive. Although FX already announced when the series would be released on their channel, many prefer to watch it online. Now Disney+ has also come forward with its OTT premiere date.

When is season 2 of Welcome to Wrexham arriving on OTT?

Earlier this month, FX announced that the upcoming season will arrive on 12th September this year. According to Daily Mail, viewers will be able to catch it on Disney+ only one day later on the 13th. This comes as a great relief to online audiences which were eager to catch the show the moment it dropped. After all, the Deadpool actor and McElhenney are unparalleled entertainers!

Moreover, the fact that the first season landed not one but seven Emmy nominations, has made audiences all the more eager. It even received an excellent rating of 8.2 on IMDb. If the trailer for season two is any indication, the upcoming season will make for an equally exhilarating watch.

Upon the clip’s release, it built up a lot of suspense for the new season through great cinematography work. Not only that, but a huge revelation by Ryan Reynolds set the stakes for the show even higher.

When the teaser for Season 2 came out, it hinted at many iconic moments that come as milestones for Wrexham AFC. Besides showcasing all the brilliant transformation the team received at the hands of its Hollywood owners, it also featured a special guest. In a delightful twist, Reynolds personally declared that the “King of England” had called him!

Last year, King Charles and Queen Camilla also visited the home grounds of the historic club. These monumental achievements came as a testament to Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s incredible work for the team.
