While all signals exonerate Ryan Reynolds from the act, Justin Baldoni’s legal bulldog, Bryan Freedman, still sank his teeth into him.

Ryan Reynolds’ subtle addressing of Blake Lively’s lawsuit against Justin Baldoni at SNL’s 50th celebration turned many heads, including the latter’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman. In an interview on Hot Mics with Billy Bush, Freedman touched upon the topic and took some direct shots at Reynolds for making jokes on the legalities, especially given the context of the lawsuit. “I can’t think of anyone who’s done anything like that,” he said.

During a Q&A segment of SNL’s 50th anniversary special, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler asked Reynolds how he has been doing. “Great! Why, what have you heard?” Reynolds replied with a worried look. While the act left several A-listers speechless, Freedman was also one among the shocked.
