More and more celebrities in America’s entertainment and sports industries are spreading their wings apart. Venturing out from their usual routes, we have seen the likes of Ryan Reynolds and Michael B. Jordan acquire major sporting teams like Wrexham AFC and Charlotte Hornets, respectively. The owners have helped these clubs grow tremendously. And looks like we have a new celebrity joining the owners’ club. It is none other than the legendary Tom Brady. This American football quarterback spent 20 of his 23 seasons in the National Football League with the New England Patriots. 

As the player retired and looks to start his new role as a commentator for the NFL, his recent ‘Peaky Blinders’ club purchase sees him invest a bite-sized portion of his $300 million worth of wealth. 

Tom Brady switches from American to British Football

Tom Brady has attracted quite a lot of attention for the rumors of him and Kim Kardashian dating. But he recently made the news for his purchase of the Birmingham Football Club. Taking to Instagram, Brady announced that he was excited to join the “blue family.” Adding that he couldn’t wait to explore St. Andrews, the American footballer is all set to jump into English football. Buying a minority stake in the club, the actor is on the board now. 

Admitting that he has “a lot to learn,” the NFL player reassured the Birmingham FC fans that he knew a few things about winning. He loves being the “underdog” and he is all geared up to take the club and the city’s spirits forward.

As he made his announcement, our favorite Deadpool actor joined the netizens in congratulating him.

As netizens took to Twitter to congratulate Brady, his fellow UK team owners, and American football players joined the congratulations too. JJ Watt, a 12-season player in the NFL, congratulated his senior. He also congratulated the Birmingham fans and wished them good luck for the Premier League. Not just that, the Aviation Gin tycoon who turned the game around for the Welsh club came forward with his support, too. 

The Birmingham FC also tweeted about Brady’s investment.

Reynolds has done a phenomenal job with Rob McElhenney and pushed the Wrexham AFC to the Leagues after 15 years. And wishing luck for his fellow American who just started with an English football club, the actor liked two tweets – Brady’s reaction to JJ Watt and Birmingham FC’s announcement tweet.
