2023 is going to be a fantastic year for the cinematic world. We have already seen some of the best releases and are waiting to witness a few more. One of those awaited releases includes the highly anticipates rom-com of Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell. The duo is starring in Will Gluck’s Anyone But You, which might see its release soon. However, this is not the only big banner film Powell is starring in this year.

About a month ago, the actor made an announcement that he is starring in the sequel of the 1996 blockbuster Twisters. He is starring in it opposite the famous British actress Daisy Edgar Jones. The 1996 film was based on a team of storm chasers, including former spouses Bill and Jo, attempting to deploy a revolutionary device to study a record-breaking F5 tornado in Oklahoma while dealing with personal conflicts and rivalries, produced by Warner Bros.

Jones is slowly becoming a household name internationally. Although she began her career long ago, she finally gained worldwide recognition with her portrayal of Marianne in BBC’s Normal People. She starred the opposite Irish actor Paul Mescal in it and the show is based on the novel of the same name by Sally Rooney.

Jones seems to be sharing not one but two co-stars of Sweeney in her upcoming projects.

Powell is not the only co-star of Sydney Sweeney who is starring with Jones

This year Jones seems to be going big with the various projects she has taken over. Apparently, Twisters is not the only film the actress is starring in this year. Apart from it, she is starring against Andrew Garfield in Sebastian Lelio’s Voyagers. 

Another co-star of Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, will also be doing a film with the Normal People star. Elordi, Diego Calvo, and Sasha Calle will star together with Jones in Daniel Minahan’s One Swift Horses. Last, but not least, Jones will star in American singer-songwriter Carole King’s biopic called Beautiful this year.

Overall, the year 2023 has brought Jones quite a few big banner films. The actress has quite a lot of potential which she proved in Normal People and is on her way to doing it in her upcoming films.
