Charlie Day discussed on The Jimmy Kimmel Show about potential actors he could become best friends with. The host asked whether there was any jealousy now that McElhenney was getting close to Ryan Reynolds. “He’s trying to trade up on me,” joked Day. While wondering who he could get closer to, Day mentioned Leonardo Di Caprio. But Jimmy Kimmel had another suggestion.

Kimmel suggested that he should steal one of Ryan Reynolds’s good friends instead. With that, the obvious choice was none other than the Marvel star Hugh Jackman. Day promptly agreed, going on about how Reynolds spent a big amount just to make a song for McElhenney’s birthday. He compared the whole situation to a bad movie from the 1980s where the sports jock steals a character’s good friend.

Notably, all four of the actors have come from struggling days to setting up a successful career through the years. All the while still being admired for their funny selves.
