Josh Brolin has been Tinseltown’s hot favorite for the last two decades, but he has surpassed the bars he set on his own every time. Comic book lovers will forever remember him as Thanos, who delivered the fatal blow to Iron Man’s legacy, and as Cable, the time-traveling mutant with a penchant for mayhem in Deadpool 2. While his affinity for comic book characters is well-documented, according to Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman, the actor is now being courted to the DCU for a new role.

Brolin has left an indelible mark on the cinematic universe. His cinematic canvas is no less than a kaleidoscope of complex characters, each one a testament to his remarkable range. Yet, for comic book devotees, his knack for portraying multi-faceted, larger than life characters has made fans attach him to the MCU without a thought. Although confirmation and details remain under wraps, considering Brolin still has a score to settle in the comic realm, the rumor is enough to prepare for a wild ride ahead.

The reason behind Brolin’s refusal remains unclear. However, after the latest fanning of the flames, one cannot help but wonder if time would ultimately temper his stance.
