While it is a proud moment for any actor to be remembered for the iconic roles they played, Matthew Perry wishes it differently.

The ’90s sitcom has been a home for uncountable fans from all around the world. It has affected different generations in many diverse ways. But rather than being remembered as Chandler Bing only, the 53-year-old actor wants a little more than that.

During his conversation with Tom Power, the 17 Again actor revealed he would like to be remembered as someone who lived well, loved well, and was a seeker. He admitted although Friends had been a huge part of the Canadian actor’s life, his journey of healing is more significant than being Chandler.

Therefore, Perry wants the world to remember him not only as the character only but also as someone who wanted to help people. And that is what he tried to do by writing this memoir, which was immensely difficult for him to read afterward.
