After Losing $20 Million and the ‘Archetypes’ Trademark, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Allegedly Join Hands With Spotify Rival
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, since the time they entered the royal realm, have lost a lot collectively. On one hand, the Duchess of Sussex bid goodbye to what many argue could have been a splendid acting career, her dogs, and friends, among other things. On the other, Prince Harry, as soon as he opened up about wanting to propose to Markle, lost a friend in his brother according to his memoir. But while celebrities have the prerequisite of pushing personal losses under the rug, the same cannot be said about their monetary losses.
The Sussexes faced one of their most humiliating losses in the public eye as their deal with Spotify broke off. Not only did a Spotify executive label them as “grifters,” but they also lost the ‘Archetypes’ trademark. But they are ready to reclaim their fame.

The Sussexes seem to be on a reclaiming spree as of late. After the success of Invictus Games 2023, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are back on the popularity charts. Moreover, they are also set to make up for the lost dimes from the Spotify falloff. According to a source of Express, “Harry and Meghan are retooling.” More specifically, the Sussexes are now eyeing a Spotify rival for their podcast, to make their revenge even sweeter.
As per the source, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are almost sure that they want to work with Amazon-owned streaming service, Audible. This is not the first news of the Sussexes moving towards planning blockbuster projects. In fact, Markle is allegedly in talks with Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts for a joint project.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are clearly striving to create a successful project, although official statements from the Sussexes or Audible have not been released yet. And they seem to be following the steps of another successful political couple.

Netizens believed that the Sussexes had the potential to be the next Beckhams before the Spotify falloff. After all, they came from the British royal family, had a major fanbase, and most importantly, had the potential to make a luxury lifestyle brand. However, as we move further into the Sussexes Hollywood chapter, they seem to be following the footsteps of another couple who has taken a philanthropic turn after politics, Michelle and Barack Obama.
In 2019, the Obamas signed a whopping $25 Million deal with Spotify and even gave the streamer one of its most popular podcasts, The Michelle Obama Podcast. However, the couple also called off their deal with Spotify and moved to Audible. If the Sussexes talk with Audible does bear fruit, then this will be another similarity between them and the Obamas.
