The newly crowned monarch of Britain, King Charles, might have had the entire nation sing his glory. However, he did miss some specific players at his coronation ceremony. Although he had all of his family, prominent members like the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, and a few others did not attend the ceremony. The King was disappointed by Markle’s withdrawal from his lifetime of a ceremony. However, as if it were not enough, social media is back at its role to run salts on some deep wounds.

As King Charles started his reign, chants of the late Princess Diana echoed from every corner and emerged quite deafening to the throne. The UK public was already indifferent towards accepting Her Majesty Queen Camilla as their new Queen. Meanwhile, a throwback to the time Princess Diana used to rule the hearts flooded the internet. It is no doubt that the Duchess of Sussex harbors immense love and respect for her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. This was evident when their December Netflix explosive gave us a brief insight into the lives of the Sussexes. What caught the most attention was a portrait of the gorgeous ‘Lady Di’ that hung exquisitely on their walls. However, that was not all. Along with Markle, her first-born Prince Archie also seemed to be quite drawn towards his late grandmother.

The toddler could be seen petting and touching the portrait on the wall with mum Meghan Markle, all smiles with his gesture. The video from the documentary resurfaced at the event of the coronation to hurt the monarchy. Meanwhile, it was not just the controversial Duchess bringing back tight times to the Coronation. The favorite of all, Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, also kept her mother-in-law’s legacy sparkling at the event.

The Queen-in-waiting for the throne wore the ivory, Alexander McQueen, made out of silver crepe to the grand event. The literal cherry on top was her delicate silver headpiece, which they say was taken as a cue from King’s theme of “meritocratic not aristocratic.” Keeping all of it apart, the Princess donned the stunning pearl and diamond earrings set of Lady Diana.
