Prince Harry earned gasps from all around the world as he made the unconventional decision to leave the palace and his family to move across the pond with his wife, Meghan Markle. It was the first time after Princess Diana that the turbulence had managed to come so close to the British Crown. Ever since then, the Duke of Sussex has been quite loud about the working of the royal family and his distaste regarding their ways. Amidst all of it, however, Prince Harry also made sure to relay that he was just a boy away from home, waiting for some attempt at reconciliation from his family that he claims was never made. But looks like Invictus Games has ushered in a new era.

The Californian royals, despite delivering perhaps the most discussed docuseries in the history of Netflix, did not get to enjoy the spotlight all that much this year. But as netizens speculated about their dwindling relevance, they made a blockbuster comeback at the Invictus Games. The tales of which seem to have reached across the pond.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex hit more than just two birds with one stone as they made an appearance in Germany for the 2023 Invictus Games. Although they mostly cheered for the participants and greeted fans, their presence itself was successful in trampling over months of separation rumors and empty treasury claims. Another crucial impact that Prince Harry seems to have made, according to PR Expert, Jerome Cleary’s statement to Daily Express US, is having earned King Charles’ favor.

According to the expert, King Charles could “allow” Prince Harry a residence in the United Kingdom. This is a complete contrast to the reports just a few months earlier post the Sussexes’ Spotify debacle where the King allegedly rejected Prince Harry’s attempt at rejoining the royal family. But the tables love to turn, especially when it involves the royal family and their extended limb in California.

Prince Harry, despite having the unwavering support of his media-savvy wife, Meghan Markle, has not had the smoothest ride in Tinsel Town. A part of this could be the fact that he had lost contact with his family across the pond. However, things on the business front have also not been looking too good for the Sussexes. Given the circumstances, and an invitation by King Charles himself, the Duke does not have many reasons to not return to the United Kingdom, except, of course, his credibility.

The Duke of Sussex may have lost many titles since the Megxit, but he is still a Counsellor of State. Perhaps the King recognizes that one of the requirements for a good Counsellor of State is building trust and a friendly relationship between the two parties. And given how Prince Harry has begun to do well for himself in the spotlight once again, owing to the Invictus Games, it is only a win-win situation.
