Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had, for the longest time, been regarded as two peas in a pod. However, as they have apparently entered a new phase, evidently in their professional lives and supposedly in their personal lives, separation ironically seems to be the common word uniting the two. The latest testament of which was witnessed when the Duchess of Sussex attended a Thanksgiving dinner alone.

Following her iconic Thanksgiving dinner, held to support the Southern California Welcome Project through the Archewell Foundation, Markle has released a statement that is a masterclass in leaving Prince Harry out.

Despite the encouragement to move forward as a brand, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have clearly chosen to take another route as the Duke continues to engage in Invictus Games-related projects while Markle builds her own brand. However, that this professional separation was borderline personal was only evidenced when Thanksgiving was spent separately. As the solo dinner caught eyes, Meghan Markle released a statement on the Archewell website, however, maintaining the theme of keeping Prince Harry out of it.

The last time Markle had gone to such lengths of separation was when the Prince was facing the wrath of the seven skies and two more for his memoir. It seems that two pseudo-royal trips later; the couple is back to the same square.

While it could also be possible that the solo Thanksgiving dinner was a way for the Duchess to step back into the spotlight that she had been missing from, the number of appearances sans the Prince is definitely concerning.

The current state of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's public standing is reflective of their standing before they met, with the Prince enjoying the spotlight regardless of what he does while Markle continued to work for it. With the former actress attending charity galas and hosting Thanksgiving dinners, the rehearsed attempt to claim the spotlight is evident.

The actress' attempts, however, are directed towards the launch of her brand, American Riviera Orchard. The lifestyle brand has been dealing with roadblocks since the onslaught, and as the clock ticks, Markle is set to do everything to make it a success.
