After Guy Ritchie’s ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’, Henry Cavill to Join Hands on Another Project
This month has been an eventful one for Henry Cavill. Not only did The Witcher’s third season take his fans on a ride, but the actor also marked his monumental exit from the saga that got placed as the most-watched show on Netflix. Moreover, the baton being passed to Liam Hemsworth meant the fans awaited news of where they would see their favorite hero next. Just months ago, Cavill flaunted the first look from the upcoming film with Guy Ritchie, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
And now, the Man of Steel actor is up for another film with his, clearly, favorite director.

The Gentlemen director is well-known for his action-packed films that revolve around criminal activities. And the English director collaborating with Cavill definitely does not mean an Aladdin 2. According to a source of Giant Freakin Robot, the Enola Holmes actor is all set to star in a film outside his line of expertise. The MTV Movie Awards winner will play a con man, starring in a heist genre movie titled Cipher Conundrum. This new project will trace his character’s journey of being recruited by a “shadowy” intelligence agency.
In addition to the new genre Cavill will be treading in, the role will involve a fair bit of action. A heist film usually has the leads think fast and fight in stealth. Unlike Cavill’s typical involvement in superhero and fantastical genre projects, this one is different. The actor’s role in Enola Holmes qualifies, but he wasn’t heavily involved in the high-level con-manship that we can anticipate from Ritchie’s films.
While this project makes up for very exciting news for the fans of Cavill’s films, Ritchie has been imagining Cavill a lot in his movies.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. director seems to be using up most of Cavill’s free schedule. Just recently, Ritchie was in the works for an upcoming project, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. The film is based on a book authored by Damien Lewis, titled Churchill’s Secret Warriors: The Explosive True Story of the Special Forces Desperadoes WWII.
Although this is more in line with Cavill’s usual action roles, Ritchie is having him explore another type of negotiator-extraction film. Soon after teasing with principal photography pictures of the WWII film, the English film director hinted to Variety in an interview about another un-named project with the same actors, The Witcher actor and Jake Gyllenhaal. After the exit from The Witcher, the 40-year-old actors’ plates look full.
