Your legacy is every life you touch,” said Oprah Winfrey to a room full of dreamers. The first in a lot for many Black women in the United States, the woman who became a part of our day through her conversations on television in 1986 and has now created a dynasty using her voice. Winfrey is regarded as a voice of power and a thundering testament to this was her interview with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, which pulled in nearly 17 million viewers. But the impact was even louder than the ratings, as it managed to bring a clear divide across nations and question the inclusivity of the Royal family.

After the show ended, networks look for another gem to fill the daytime talk show spot. And they are hoping that the Duchess of Sussex might do the trick. But does Meghan Markle have it in her to become the next Oprah Winfrey?

Meghan Markle to follow Oprah Winfrey’s lead?

The former Suits is a cut above the rest in a lot of ways. On the brink of a show-stopping career in Hollywood, Markle married the Prince of England. Markle’s reality is a fantasy that even the writers deem too good to use. Now that she heads back into the entertainment industry, Christopher Anderson, author of The King, thinks “Becoming the next Oprah [Winfrey] — a powerful and influential media mogul — does not feel far-fetched at all,” as reported by Express.

As Markle headed back to Tinsel town, many thought that she would return to acting. However, as the Duchess of Sussex is partaking in more projects where she is able to express herself, it seems like a talk show might be next on her list. Given how she has already proven her eloquent speaking skills at various Royal events and her People award-winning podcast, she would make a good host.
