After Failing to Complete a Record Transfer, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney Failed to Sign Another Player
If there is one thing certain in Wrexham, it is drama. Throughout the past two seasons, the Red Dragons have put up a show for the fans in every match. However, this season was a little different for the Welsh side. Apart from a shaky start in the second division, the club has been struggling with its management as well. And it seems like the transfer market curse seems to continue for Wrexham.
We are no strangers to the drama that is unfolding at Wrexham over the past few weeks. Despite creating so much hype around Luke Armstrong, the Red Dragons failed to bring him on board. However, as surprising as it sounds, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney tried to sign another player following the failed signing.

The past few weeks have been no less than a rollercoaster for the Wrexham fans. Apart from disappointing performances on-field, the club also failed to find a replacement for injured Paul Mullin before the transfer market deadline. However, that did not stop Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney from trying their luck in the transfer market again. Right before the summer window reached its deadline, the duo attempted to sign Charlton Athletic’s captain, Charles Dobson.
Latest reports by London News Online suggest that the Addicks rejected every offer for the 25-year-old Dobson. Interestingly, the club has a special reason to keep Dobson at Charlton. This is the second time the Red Dragons failed to complete a signing. Not long ago, the Wrexham bosses even issued an apology to Armstrong after failing to complete the requirements before the deadline.
On the other hand, there seems to be a new addition to the Welsh side. After failing to bring Dobson, the Red Dragons managed to sign midfielder George Evans from Millwall. While Wrexham’s transfer market drama continues, the club will soon be playing their seventh game this season.

Wrexham has surely been struggling so far in the second division. Over the last six games, Wrexham has only recorded two wins so far. Much to the disappointment of the fans, the Red Dragons currently stand in the 13th position in the league table. However, tomorrow could turn the tides for the Welsh side.
The Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney-led side will be playing their seventh fixture against Doncaster tomorrow at the Race Course ground. Winning this match would give the club a huge jump on the points table. The chances of winning surely look high for the Red Dragons since Doncaster has failed to win a single game so far.
