Once touted as the most influential among Tinseltown’s power couples, their fate now hangs in the balance. The latest revelations by the actress put an end to the many rumors of marital discord surrounding them as she outright confirmed them. After letting the world know that the couple has stayed separate for seven long years, Pinkett still has more to cough up.

In another set of claims, she put forth her side of the story on their separation and how her husband probably stands as the instigator.

Jada Pinkett had a different “love language” than Will Smith

It is true that art does indeed bring out the best in people. However, that ‘best’ may not always align with the ‘wants’. In a similar story, Jada Pinkett believes there was a mistake in her way of love for Will Smith. In her latest appearance on The Diary Of A CEO podcast, the Madagascar actress opined that “Will’s love language was ‘I want to work.’” Meanwhile, she believed hers was “I just want you to be here with me.”

While accepting that they were both right in their own ways, Pinkett believed that somewhere in his quest to provide the best for their family, her husband did not hold their “connection” as she expected. Thus, she continued that Smith asked her to “make herself happy,” resulting in their six-year-long and counting separation. Moreover, the statements made her feel resentful and hurt. “oh so I helped you get your happiness now you just going to you know throw me to the curb…,” she expressed in sobs.

Regardless of the reasons, trouble had long seeped into their marriage. In fact, this was not the first time that Pinkett had felt herself sidelined.

Years later, Pinkett is still on the same page. Moreover, she believes that not carving out the time for herself is the biggest regret she has. In the same interview, she added that her efforts felt like “It was me just giving and giving and forgiving”. The story of the actress’ side put up a picture of an ambitious Smith who went forward with his goals while Pinkett stayed behind.
