Similar to their Hollywood careers, the Welsh side has been on the way up. Throughout the past two seasons, Wrexham achieved more than they have in the past two decades. However, the focus was mainly on the Red Dragons’ men’s team.

And it seems like the current season is going to be all about them. The Hollywood-owned club has relished a sensational start to their run this year as they stand on top of the table. Moreover, the second season of Welcome To Wrexham shone the light on them as they dug through stories that were previously untold. 

The latest episode of the documentary series introduced the fans to Wrexham’s women’s team for the first time. The episode became a quick hit among the audience, garnering an impressive response. Moreover, it put the spotlight on a highly underrated yet talented player, Rosie Hughes. As astounding as it may sound, Hughes has scored more goals than Wrexham’s leading strikers, including Paul Mullin. 

Meanwhile, the Hollywood duo has invested nearly $60,000 in the women’s team so far, and the club’s side has significantly grown with time. 

How Wrexham’s Women’s team has improved incredibly 

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s magic is undoubtedly evident. Considering Wrexham’s performance over the years, it is clear that the duo have transformed the team. While the men’s team magic is a much-discussed affair, the women’s team has also come a long way from home. Founded in 2018, the club quickly gained a Tier One License. 

Not long after the event, the Wrexham women’s team gained promotion to Adran Premier, the top female football league in Wales. Meanwhile, their performances have been incredible. In the current season, the club has won 2 out of their four fixtures while their one game ended in a draw.
