It is a fact universally acknowledged that the American Tinseltown lifestyle could never run lines with the tough-wired British royalty. Be it King Edward’s Wallis Simpson, or Prince Harry’s Meghan Markle, the palace could never make peace with foreign figures. And rightfully so, the youngest odd couple decided to step back. They did so happily in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic in the year 2020. However, although the Sussexes cut all ties with royalty, Meghan Markle is seemingly stuck with some palace ways to this date. 

The same Duchess who breached headlines for having broken the royal rules apparently wants her kids to have one of them as a hobby.

Prince Harry and his wife have been stretched thin throughout their Invictus journey. As much as they helped other broken families gain their strength back, they also shared a sneak peek into theirs. While attending one of the much celebrated, and high-profile Invictus Games, the Duchess spoke to the wife of an IG25 member, Bridget Bridge. In a conversation with Mirror, Bridge revealed that Meghan Markle wanted her kids to learn to ski. 

The spouse of the player revealed that “Meghan said she really wanted her kids to learn to ski.” And for that, she ideally thought there was no better place than Whistler. Sharing her experience, the Duchess reportedly said she never got a chance to ski. Hence, she wants her kids not to miss out on this exciting hobby. 

Upon her connection to royalty, it only makes sense why she has been so inclined towards that sport. 

The Royal family and their love for skiing

Often attached to royalty, skiing is predominantly a leisure-time activity for the UK royals. In the chills of winter, the family is often found to have a short break in one of the premier ski areas in the world. Situated in Courchevel, France, this is one of the most preferred places to spend winter breaks with the royals. Back in the day, Prince Harry and Prince William often used to ski down slopes with their mother, Princess Diana.

Pictures of them having fun on the vast stretch of ice are still adorable to this date. Years after her death, the boys also happened to visit the same place yet again, with their father spending some quality time in rare moments. In fact, the Duke even planned his first skiing trip with then-girlfriend Meghan Markle, back in the year 2017.
