Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney own Wrexham AFC since 2021. Recently, the club achieved promotion to League Two. Even the Women’s team also got huge achievements in their recent games. The team that pushed Wrexham AFC to achieve this promotion was Notts County. Despite being a rival team, the club owners have been vocal about their support to Notts County. The Deadpool actor and McElhenney even went to the UK to support the County as well. And it seems Reynolds is enjoying the weather in England, thanks to his precious club.

The 46-year-old actor is famous for his hilarious and witty social media posts. However, this time the Free Guy actor posted a picture of himself wearing a WXM Clothing sweatshirt with a note of gratitude. It seemed he was out for a jog during his stay in the United Kingdom. With the Octopus’s Garden as the background music, Reynolds showed off his “sweet sweatshirt” in a recent Instagram story.

For the Wrexham FC owners, it is not about supporting the team only. They also support the official clothing site the club owns, WXM Clothing. The club has an official website selling merchandise as well. On many occasions, both actors have sported WXM sweatshirts and beanies on and off field and this recent snap is no different.

Reynolds and McElhenney are so dedicated to developing the club that they skipped the 2023 Met Gala to be there in the UK. Even though when they talked about being in the UK, the Deadpool star and McElhenney did not reveal why they were going.

When they acquired Wrexham AFC, the Welsh community was a little skeptical about Hollywood celebrities. However, as time went by, Reynolds and McElhenney became a part of their community. The Canadian actor even bought a house just to stay closer to Wrexham FC. Not only that, both celebrities often help the members of the community with their generous donations. In their documentary that captured the journey of them acquiring control of Wrexham AFC, people spoke really nicely of them.

Now, everyone is waiting for the second season of Welcome to Wrexham as well. Moreover, recently when the third-oldest football club got the promotion, Reynolds surprised a local pub and ignited the fire to the ongoing celebration. While the Wrexham owners have been doing everything they can to help the club thrive, the players and the entire team are also supportive of them.
