Sydney Sweeney has time and again shown that her versatility knows no bounds with performances in Euphoria, White Lotus, and Immaculate. However, one movie that will forever be a black mark on her otherwise spotless career is Madame Web. Her first attempt at Marvel bombed spectacularly, becoming the biggest flop of her career. Yet, it seems the actress is still not done trying to leave her mark on a legendary franchise like Marvel. 

Sydney Sweeney reportedly had a meeting with Lucasfilm, the production house famous for Star Wars and Indiana Jones. This has led to fans guessing whether the actress is being eyed for a future role in a new Star Wars project. The report was shared by the Hollywood insider account MyTimeToShineHello on X. Despite the criticism she faced with Madame Web, Sweeney seems unfazed. 

“I was just hired as an actress in it, so I was just along for the ride for whatever was going to happen,” the 26-year-old told the Los Angeles Times. The actress even poked fun at the box office disaster during her Saturday Night Live stint, saying, “You definitely didn’t see me in Madame Web.” Nonetheless, this new report has unleashed a new wave of speculation among fans.

They took to X, wondering what role Sydney Sweeney might be eyeing in Star Wars now that she is allegedly in talks with Lucasfilm. 

MyTimeToShineHello made several other claims about Sydney Sweeney's next potential roles following the flop of Madame Web. This included a rumor about her being cast as Blonde Phantom in the MCU. However, earlier it was claimed that Taylor Swift was actually under consideration for the popular role. Reports claimed that the Anyone But You actress had replaced the pop sensation for the Marvel role. Now, if the rumored Lucasfilm meetup does result in a casting, fans are already throwing their hats in the ring with plenty of suggestions. 

Meanwhile, some fans were still licking their wounds from Madame Web and were not quite prepared for this casting. They also felt Sweeney should focus on making a Marvel comeback at the moment instead of a franchise-switch.  

Many fans would love to see Sydney Sweeny as a mainstream character in the Star Wars universe. However, there has been no official confirmation about the rumored casting just yet. Therefore, it would be best to take that report with a pinch of salt.
