The year 2023 is remarking on one of the most important events of the twenty-first century: the coronation of King Charles. The world is looking forward to the King officially taking over the charge of the throne his family has been ruling for centuries. Even though the whole world will be witnessing this remarkable event on screen, only a few special people will be watching it live.

However, there are a few special guests who will make history as they attend this event. The reason they are special is that these people were also present at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. A coronation happened about seventy years ago today, and these people are alive to be there for King Charles’ upcoming coronation. The four special guests who will be making history are Prince Richard, Princess Alexandra, Prince Edward, and Prince Michael.

Not so surprisingly, all of these aforementioned people are a part of the Royal Family. According to People, luckily all of them are alive and healthy to attend this auspicious occasion of their family. Although the palace has not shared the complete guest list yet, it is assumed that these Royals will definitely be there to make this coronation more authentic.

Let us begin with 78-year-old Prince Richard, who is also the Duke of Gloucester. He was late Queen Elizabeth II’s first cousin and was eight years old at her coronation. Yet another first cousin of the late Queen who is attending the coronation of King Charles is 86-year-old Princess Alexandra, the Honourable Lady Ogilvy. Apart from attending the coronation of the late Queen, she also served as her bridesmaid at her wedding.

The plausible third guest is the 87-year-old Duke of Kent, Prince Edward. He is the son of Prince George and a sibling of Princess Alexandra which makes him the first cousin of the late queen. Next is Prince Michael of Kent who is 80 years old and once again is the first cousin of the late queen.

Although a lot of people will attend the grand coronation, the world has its eye on Prince Harry. The Duke of Sussex has given his confirmation although Meghan Markle is going to stay in the States with her kids.
