Arnold Schwarzenegger is an entertainer, down to the last morsel. And to prove his case, are the numerous years of work he has put forth. Long before he could reach his destination on a movie set, the Austrian Oak treated his bodybuilding stage as one. He flexed, he smiled, and he addressed the crowd as if he were the main character. Therefore, when the day finally came for him to become a star, Schwarzenegger left no stone unturned in making sure it never ends. This is how, even at 75, his stardom has not dulled even by a notch.

The actor who has worked tirelessly since the age of 15, recently stunned the world with his own Netflix series. And contrary to popular belief after the mediocre reception of Terminator: Dark Fate, the actor returned as an action star. He broke the norms of what a 75-year-old can do as he came, saw, and conquered with FUBAR. Many assumed that after this smashing success, Schwarzenegger would follow fellow actors from his generation into retirement. And let’s just say his reply to this assumption was not any less iconic than his classic “I’ll be back!”

Is Arnold Schwarzenegger retiring from acting?

It was in 1970, after many years of pumping iron and selling real estate, that Schwarzenegger stepped into acting with Hercules in New York, where he played, well, Hercules in New York. Since then, the actor got the chance to twirl in the wild land of imagination countless times. This led to him playing a mindless assassin in one season and a pregnant man in another. While he has gone above and beyond in his 5 decades-long career, Arnold Schwarzenegger is refusing to do what many his age have already done: retire. And he has a very good reason for it. “Action heroes don’t retire, they reload.”

In an interview with Cinema Blend, Arnold Schwarzenegger said, “Action heroes, they reload,” about Bruce Willis’ retirement. This sentiment was further shared by his son, Joseph Baena, who wrote the same quote while applauding his father’s performance in FUBAR.

Netflix was also quick to climb onto this bandwagon that celebrated everything that Arnold Schwarzenegger is and what he continues to be by tweeting the iconic quote. But with retirement out of the question for now, one wonders what the bodybuilding legend has in store for us while hoping it is not just another Terminator movie.

The premiere of FUBAR made way for plenty of candid conversations with Arnold Schwarzenegger. And a byproduct of this was the revelation that he, too, was not very keen on working on more Terminator movies. Therefore, apart from a plausible second season of FUBAR, the upcoming projects that the Austrian Oak might work on include his other popular ventures. Most notably, Conan the Barbarian.

While his fans have plenty of ideas on projects he could work on, a sequel of the cult classic is something the actor himself hinted at. Not only does he have no plans to retire, but he also has a very promising approach to his future projects. At 75, Schwarzenegger is making clear that he will be back.
