After a challenging period marked by the loss of his notable roles, Henry Cavill made a cinematic comeback that could easily go down the history. The British actor had previously bid farewell to his roles as the monster hunter of the Continent in The Witcher and Superman, but he returned to the screen with a powerful presence, showcasing new facets of his career in Argylle and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. While few would have predicted that the Last Son of Krypton would venture into the World War II era, Cavill managed to do so.

At 41, he has created a parallel reality, bridging his iconic roles with fresh new forecasts.

Henry Cavill recently spoke with India Today alongside his The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare co-stars Alex Pettyfer and Hero Fiennes. During the interview, Cavill was asked which of his previous film characters he would like to see in a multiverse crossover if such a possibility ever arose. “I think Superman would have been pretty useful during World War II,” stated Cavill, citing that his presence could have potentially shortened the war.

Meanwhile, the question was redirected to his co-stars, where Pettyfer chose the “kid from Magic Mike” and Fiennes chose Voldemort, though he was uncertain about whose side the Dark Lord would be on. While each choice had its merits, Cavill's response stood out, especially given the fondness fans have for his portrayal of Superman. With fans having had to say a premature goodbye to Cavill’s Superman, this alternate reality is one many would love to see become a reality.

After years of leading the DC Universe as Superman, Henry Cavill’s departure from the role was undeniably disheartening. However, the MCU took a playful jab in its latest flagship release, Deadpool & Wolverine, featuring an unexpected cameo of Cavill-rine. In the film, Wade Wilson, on a mission across the multiverse to find a Wolverine who can save his universe, encounters various Wolverine variants, including one crucified on X, another in a brown suit ready to face the Hulk, and more.

The cameo that stood out to both DC and Marvel fans was a brief appearance of a Logan variant named Cavill-rine, seen from behind while fixing his motorcycle in a warehouse. Though his screen time was precise, it sparked renewed speculation about Cavill's future in the MCU. While some view it as a playful MCU jab at DC’s Superman, only time will reveal what the future holds.
