A Master at Repeating Outfits, Kate Middleton Brings Back Her Iconic 2019 Royal Ascot Outfit
Kate Middleton looked like a vision in white as she stunned in an Alexander McQueen dress at the coronation of King Charles. However, the Princess’ coronation outfit seemed to have followed the same format as her 2019 Diplomatic Corps reception. And while this one was recycled only in style and not in material, the 41-year-old royalty is known to repeat outfits. For fans, it adds to the long list of reasons why they love her. After all, if the Princess of Wales did not take it upon herself, repeating outfits would still be very much a fashion sin.
The coronation dress is not the only outfit that Middleton has opened her 2019 fashion lookbook for. Middleton is bringing back another fan-favorite outfit from the year. As she and Prince William hosted a garden party at Buckingham Palace, the Princess of Wales once again dawned the blue Elie Saab top paired with a long skirt that fans fell in love with at the Royal Ascot in 2019.

This has further solidified that not just fans but Middleton herself believe 2019 to be a superior year when it comes to fashion. She kept most of her look the same except for a change in earrings. In lieu of the Kiki McDonough drop earrings, she wore hoop earrings from the same brand.
Celebrities are often criticized for their exorbitant taste in fashion and for how it ends up causing great harm to our environment. And by choosing to repeat her outfits at numerous events, Middleton is not only washing her hands off controversies but also setting a great example. In the awards she has attended of late, she has recycled an outfit in one and rented her dress at the other. Although the latter resulted in a meme fest, it just goes to show how conscious she is towards the environment.

It is evident by now that Kate Middleton should give a masterclass on recycling outfits. While she is working towards raising mental health awareness through Shaping Us, a campaign dedicated to environmentally friendly fashion can be next.
While it is unclear if it will ever happen, that Prince William will be one of its greatest supporters is a given. Especially as the 40-year-old Prince took his wife’s lead and also repeated his 2019 outfit from the Royal Ascot. While he matched his tie to his wife, the Prince of Wales copied his 2019 outfit all the way from the top hat down to the shoes.
