A Major MCU Slip Up? Fan Catches Kevin Feige Drop Major Bombshell for Future Projects in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Interview
Deadpool & Wolverine had chosen Marvel Jesus as its ride of choice to the box office and given the MCU's recent floundering post-Endgame, it was a divine gamble and one that paid off with the righteous clink of blockbuster success. From its plot to the many cameos, the Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman movie brought back the Marvel Cinematic Universe big time. Yet, amid the confetti of this resurrection, Kevin Feige’s little faux pas whispers of something more profound—a crack in the marble of the Marvel gods, perhaps?
From making Tom Holland go through intense training to celebrities quite literally stuttering in order to avoid giving anything away, Marvel knows how to keep their plans undercover. However, in a grand turn of events, the Marvel father, Kevin Feige himself, might have just let slip the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A hawk-eyed fan noted how in an interview with Fandango's Jacqueline Coley, Feige spoke about how during Avengers: Endgame, they were trying to dissect the best way to send off their own anchor being, that is Iron Man.

Since Deadpool & Wolverine gave Fox's Wolverine the ending he deserved, speculations about Tony Stark being the Achor Being of Earth-616. This theory was aided by Marvel bringing back Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. The Deadpool & Wolverine plot made fans wonder if a similar arc would be followed by the other MCU heroes to replace Stark as the Anchor Being.
Given how tight-lipped Marvel is, that Kevin Feige would slip up to reveal such a dynamic arc would almost be too good to be true, but the possibility has fans running wild.
MCU fans feel resurrected with this Kevin Feige slip up
The superhero business, since the curtain dropped on Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has been quiet, to say the least. With movies like Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania, Marvel got a chance to be in DC's shoes, and well, since the holes in those are not a secret anymore. However, with Deadpool & Wolverine, fans saw hope once again. This was further painted in yellow by Kevin Feige and his major slip-up.
While some fans applauded the fan for catching the slip-up, others speculated whether it was possible that Deadpool & Wolverine's plot would get an Iron Man and Doctor Doom twist.

Regardless of the possibility, some fans were simply content by the fact that Kevin Feige may have indirectly admitted that the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the release of Avengers: Endgame was in need of much saving. Whether he chooses the Anchor Being theory to be this savior remains to be seen.
