A ‘Game of Thrones’ Reunion: Sophie Turner and Kit Harington to Return for a Gothic Horror Flick

Game of Thrones, a television series that achieved the feat of releasing eight seasons in times when five was considered a hard maximum, defined what blockbuster television meant. Not only was the series a million bucks owing to the grand plot that it executed, but also because of the phenomenal cast that aided it. More than half a decade later, two of its shiniest gemstones, Sophie Turner and Kit Harington, are set to join hands on-screen again, not too far away from the chilling world of Game of Thrones but far enough.

Turner, whose timeline of not picking up big-name projects, coincidentally aligns with the years of her marriage, having wrapped up in divorce turmoil not very long ago, has confirmed her new project with her old co-star, hoping to bring some good grace back into the game.

From Jean Grey to Sansa Stark, Sophie Turner, has always made the glass slippers fit, fantasy drama or action. While the actress is currently promoting her Joan Hannington-inspired series where she is playing one of Britain's most notorious diamond thieves, the show stealer is turning out to be her big screen project with Kit Harington, The Dreadful. In her interview with BBC Screen Time, Turner talked about her next with "the hairy, short one" from Game of Thrones, joking about Kit Harington.

While Turner only confirmed her project with her old castmate, news of the movie, currently in the works, has been making waves for a while now. The team-up definitely comes as a surprise owing to Kit Harington's bittersweet Game of Thrones memory and trying to pursue an image apart from that lore. Regardless, the chances of one of the most iconic half-sibling duo from television history returning to the big screens in a Natasha Kermani directorial is not something that many want to miss out on.

Apart from Turner once again sharing the screens with who she described as her good old pal, there are other projects that the actress has ready for her fans.

Although never officially stated, since marriage and kids, Sophie Turner has mostly stayed away from the big screens. In fact, it was the script for Joan that got her to get back up from her couch post a week after her delivery to film an audition and fall back on it. However, Turner seems to have extended the window between falling back on her couch again, as she has three projects already in the rooster.

Following Joan, Turner will be seen in Amazon Prime Video's modern day heist drama, Haven, with a 4 Billion pounds at stake. However, heist's are not all that Turner has been dabbling into as the actress will also be starring in a horror thriller titled Trust. It is truly setting up to be a busy winter for Sophie Turner.
