“A disaster”- Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Fairytale Wedding Was Not What It Seemed, Claims Royal Photographer
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have become debated entities now, but at the time of their marriage, the sun could not have shined brighter, and neither could the crowd have cheered louder for the couple. Right out of a fairytale, Markle and Prince Harry tapped into the royal-Hollywood arena, which is rarely ever visited now. However, that was not the case for everyone.
Either time has changed the narrative or behind the scenes have only now come out in public, but the Sussexes' wedding proved to be quite a nightmare for some.

Given the fact that approximately 30 million people tuned in to watch Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding, one could conclude if not anything, the wedding was at least picturesque. However, according to royal photographer Arthur Edwards' statement on The Sun's Royal Exclusive, "The day was a miserable day." For Edward, it was not only a "disaster" but the "worst" wedding.
Arthur Edwards' distaste for the Sussex wedding had nothing to do with the couple in particular, but the fact that he could not get any good angles and was made to shoot on long lenses. This was due to Prince Harry's determined effort to keep the papers, more particularly, according to Edwards, "the whole of the British press," as far as possible.
The royal photographer's statements, in light of the Duke's efforts to win his lawsuit against Associated Newspapers, do not come as much of a surprise. After all, it is this very privacy that made him and his family leave the royals behind.

However, for many, the blame lies more on the press than the royal family.
Given how Prince Harry and Meghan Markle extended their well wishes to Kate Middleton in her time of need, netizens are under the impression that the family ties are not all butchered. Moreover, had it not been for the scrutinizing gaze of the press, perhaps Markle could have held on for a longer time. However, much like how both parties have not let bygones be bygones, the British press has not either.
