After Bringing in the Team Savior Paul Mullins, Ryan Reynolds Ropes in This New Player for Wrexham AFC
The Hollywood owners of the Welsh club Wrexham AFC worked out their master plan to turn the fate of the club around wonderfully. Above all, they boosted the spirits of the fans and team members. Part of their success in building a dominant image is definitely credited to the docuseries Welcome to Wrexham. Some other part is dedicated to the upgrade in facilities and amenities for the football players. Last, but not least, a part of it is the veteran player that Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney persuaded. The famous tale of how Paul Mullin was convinced is a story of sheer dedication and keeping promises. And that led to bagging their 15-year-long overdue promotion.
As the team gears up to climb to higher heights, the owner duo has roped in another fresh talent.

The Wrexham AFC will see another talented football player play on its side. Reportedly, Wrexham AFC signed James McClean on August 4, and since then the Deadpool actor has been visibly excited. The highest-profile player on the team right now was signed for an undisclosed fee. With Mullin’s addition proving to bag a promotion, the new Ireland midfielder could help bag another. In an interview with Sky Sports, a pumped-up Reynolds said, “He’s an enormous talent and huge addition to the team.”
The Red Notice actor was also excited about the Irish player’s confident aura. Besides the enormous talent, the Irish player has a penchant for knowing “what needs to be done.” His presence in the locker room is something that the Hollywood owners are looking forward to.
While the Hollywood-studded team is ready to have the Irish player on board, McClean is not any less excited to feed on the same energy.
Some Irish magic for the Welsh team
McClean reciprocated with an equally enthusiastic gusto. He said, “It’s a project that is very exciting and I’m looking forward to being a part of it,” about his addition to the team. In addition, a video that Ball.ie posted on Twitter showed the new Wrexham player in his team’s jersey and sent the fans a welcome message. Unfortunately, he missed his previous chance to play for the Welsh club’s first League Two match. But he is all set to debut in the Carabao Cup 2023, set up against his ex-club Wigan.

The passion to pull the team forward is something that McElhenney and Reynolds have both advocated for. One of their main focuses throughout the promotions and US tours has been comfort for the players. They even received flak for their pampering of the players at the expense of not-so-conscious travel choices.
