It has been some time since Henry Cavill entrusted the swordsmanship of Geralt to Liam Hemsworth for The Witcher’s fourth installment. The seasoned face of the franchise led his last leg in the show and courted farewell to the monster-hunting genes, transpiring a dash of disappointment amongst fans. While the self-acclaimed nerd did not miss out on even one opportunity to thank his stars for manifesting the role of his dreams, his departure was also as graceful as it could have been.

The humility that he bore as he stepped into the Witcherverse was also observed when the train left the station, especially with the heartwarming message he sent out in concern to the future Geralt.

Henry Cavill’s message: From one Geralt to another 

Henry Cavill’s entry into the sorcerer’s world was nothing but magnificent. The actor plunged into his dedication and commitment with his knowledge of The Witcher to bring out a spotless depiction. His dismounting from the ride of the destiny of the show left the role’s authority to Liam Hemsworth and Cavill, being a man of words, wrote a pleasing memorandum on his Instagram. Passing “the torch with reverence”, Cavill expressed his “enthusiasm” to witness “Liam’s take on this most fascinating” character. 

Embarking on a graceful reminder, the star added that “this character has such a wonderful depth to him,”. He continued patting Hemsworth’s back, reflecting on his own time as Geralt. Cavill also urged the future Geralt to, “…enjoy diving in and seeing what you can find”, while elegantly alighting from the saddle. Having found the slice of heaven from his year-long reads and gaming frenzy in a tangible universe, the statement sure did fit in like puzzles in place.

While the former Geralt went above and beyond to express his gratefulness for the skin of Geralt, the future one too seized the opportunity to showcase his delight.

Liam Hemsworth’s dispatch to the former Geralt

The Witcher’s unexplainable creative differences became one of the supposed reasons for Henry Cavill’s exit from the show. However, in his message, there was no show of bitterness but only tokens of appreciation. Much like him, Liam Hemsworth too penned a beautiful note to the former monster hunter. And similarly, his take displays the utmost respect for Cavill.

Back in October 2022, Liam Hemsworth announced his embarking on the journey of The Witcher with an Instagram post. The actor expressed his enthusiasm for taking on the role, being “a Witcher fan”. Continuing the sequence of exchange, he thanked Cavill for “handing me the reins”. Hemsworth also wrote about his Cavill being an “inspiration” while declaring having been “a fan of yours”. He further seized the opportunity to remind himself of the “big boots” he has to “fill” as his exciting confession took the Internet by storm.
