The Enola Holmes actor also approached Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and said, “It was something I wasn’t going to let pass me by without giving it my best shot.”

Hissrich actually felt annoyed by the way Cavill kept on nudging. However, he also made it very clear that he was not going to give up easily. The Netflix adaptation took inspiration from the book series of the same name by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. It also has a video game adaptation that the 40-year-old actor is passionate about.

With the constant work on his physique and fighting skills, Cavill marked his brilliance in the character. Now, apart from being a fan of video games, there was another reason behind his obsession as well. Apparently, Cavill was also an avid fan of the original books. Therefore, he knew The Witcherverse deeply. So, there was one thing that attracted the actor the most. And it was not the characters only.
