During a conversation with Candi Magazine in 2020 as per The Sun, the American actress explained the difference between being a celebrity and an actor.

According to her, being a celebrity was way easier because then she would just have to show up at the parties and be in the right places. However, being an actor was challenging because an actor has to work on her skills while looking for characters that would be interesting. Therefore, she found it harder than she thought. Additionally, Kudrow revealed when the sitcom first took off; she thought her job was to be a celebrity only.

Soon she found the reality of being a public figure overwhelming. The P.S. I Love You actress even admitted, “I tried it and I hated it–really, hated it.” Fortunately, she did not quit and continued to be there for her fans. Fans still admire her character on the NBC drama show, especially her signature song, ‘Smelly Cat’. Well, it is not only fans, but even Taylor Swift also is a huge fan of the show and ‘Smelly Cat’.
