Focusing on the several teen dramas of the rom-com trope she has performed in the publication asked her opinion of having tapped the title of ‘Gen-Z’s rom-com queen’. Not only did she reply with humility about having been “honored” by the “kind” gesture, but even mentioned that her own “favorite rom-com queens are Kate Hudson and Jennifer Aniston”. 

Exchanging further about what Mendes “looks for in movies”, she said that her search in the movies is about “something that’s grounded and that feels relatable.” She also referred to her inclination to “character-driven stories” which in turn in abundance suffices her choices for the favorite rom-com queens, especially Aniston. The reason? Well, if one remembers clearly, one of the timeless character imprints of all time by Aniston was Kate Mosley from Picture Perfect.

Therefore, it makes all the more sense why Mendes chose Aniston. However, Camila Mendes is not the only Hollywood personality who is banking on Jennifer Aniston as a figure of inspiration.
