Prince Harry Showcases His Invictus Games Spirit to NATO, Despite Major Setback From Netflix
Prince Harry has been championing his Invictus Games for a solid decade now. Out of all the projects he set in motion as a working royal, Invictus is the one that has truly stood the test of time. It is also the only project that has carried over into his new life with the most ease, keeping its unique, stand-alone status. Even after he and Meghan Markle stepped back from the Royal Family, letting go of their titles and privileges, the Duke has remained fully committed as a patron of the foundation.
Just recently, Prince Harry took a meaningful step to rekindle the spirit of Invictus, this time in front of the largest peacetime military alliance.

On Wednesday, the Invictus Games Foundation filled in the NATO Military Committee at NATO Headquarters about how it helps wounded, injured, and sick service members and veterans. Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, joined the Military Committee through video chat while a team was there in person. This group talked about the Invictus program’s growth and the steps being taken to expand its mission.
This meeting followed a catch-up in May between the Chair of the Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, and Prince Harry, during which the former attended a Thanksgiving Service at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. Invictus's main goal is to support the recovery of Wounded, Injured, and Sick (WIS) Service Members while also building a community. However, despite the good work, Invictus has not been a hit everywhere.
In fact, Invictus Games fell flat when it was adapted for a Netflix docuseries last year.

Netflix dropped Heart of Invictus in September last year. However, the documentary series failed to make the charts and did not break into any of the weekly Top 10 lists worldwide. According to a report called What We Watched: A Netflix Engagement Report, which came out in June this year, Prince Harry's series did not quite catch the audience's eye, even with all the excitement leading up to its release.
While it managed to get an 86% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it only drew in around 300,000 views in the months after it premiered. That is pretty underwhelming compared to other shows out there. Series like One Piece and Lupin stole the spotlight from Heart of Invictus. Nonetheless, even if Invictus is not binge-worthy, it has done a lot for military veterans and continues to inspire millions with its mission.
