Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had quite a ride the past year. First, Prince Harry’s contentious memoir, Spare, caused an uproar in the royal palace. Then in May, there were some wild stories about a car chase with paparazzi in NYC. In June, Meghan Markle’s podcast, “Archetypes,” got the ax, and their Spotify deal went south, with an executive dubbing them “grifters”. There was also some alleged mockery from South Park and Family Guy and persistent rumors of financial and marital strain between the Sussexes. 

Following a fair share of ups and downs, 2024 appears to be the year the Sussexes can turn everything around. Both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have an exciting line-up of projects, which, though not confirmed yet, could herald a revival for them in Hollywood.

2024: The Sussexes’ year of redemption

The speculations surrounding the exciting line-up of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle started circulating after a bunch of sources gave away some insider scoops to the US Weekly. These sources claimed that the Sussexes are in “extremely high demand”, especially after Markle joined hands with the William Morris Endeavor talent agency that is now representing her. The sources even claimed that the upcoming year would be the “year of redemption” for the Sussexes. 

William Morris Endeavor was reportedly shocked by Meghan Markle’s popularity, as the team had never handled something like this before. As per the sources, the Sussexes will also sign a “big media deal” that is still under wraps. And not just in Hollywood, but the Sussexes are also allegedly trying their best to claw their way back to their former royal roles. 

If rumors are to be believed, the coming year is then going to be nothing less than a revival for the couple. 

Meghan Markle could make a social media comeback 

Meghan Markle ran a lifestyle blog called The Tig, before marrying the Duke of Sussex in the year 2018. As per an insider, Markle could be resurrecting her blog in a “bigger and better” way. Meghan’s blog served as a platform where she discussed her shopping wish list, reflections on her experiences as a biracial child, and favorite vacation spots. She even had celeb chats with Yara Shahidi, Priyanka Chopra, and Serena Williams for Tig Talks. However, royal duties led Meghan to shutter her site in April 2017. 

In seven years, Meghan Markle’s popularity has surged far beyond her earlier days. While her blog was making $80K per year, with the strategic approach of a relaunch and the guidance of branding experts, the Sussexes could transform The Tig into a lucrative enterprise. Bringing back the blog channel would also fan the flames of fans’ continued fascination with the Sussexes.

Popular legal drama Suits could be staging a return 

Suits, created by Aaron Korsh, was Meghan Markle’s breakthrough to fame. The show was a massive hit, but Meghan had to bow out after season seven. The persistent rumors about the show’s reboot are still in circulation, despite the denial of the makers. However, Suits is reportedly getting a spin-off after its massive success on Netflix, as per a report from Deadline. There have also been reports suggesting that Markle may not be inclined to take on projects that do not align with Archewell’s initiatives. But, never say never. 

The US Weekly’s sources revealed that Markle has been receiving offers for film roles to multimillion-dollar endorsement deals with fashion and beauty brands. And the first source claimed that there are talks for a reunion of Suits, similar to the Friends special that aired in 2021. Although Markle has kept her silence on revisiting the series, as per the source, “if the timing is right, something can be worked out”. 

Prince Harry could be reuniting with his roots

Prince Harry’s life took a turn when he chose to step away from the royal family. What added to the upheaval were his shocking revelations about the royals that left many in disbelief. However, the second source revealed that Prince Harry is not putting a stop to his writing endeavors. Allegedly, he has secured a four-book deal with Penguin Random House. But these books will not be tell-alls, as the Sussexes are opting not to delve into discussions about the royal family anymore. 

Especially, since Prince Harry is pushing for a wish for peace with King Charles III, which, as per the source, could be a possibility. However, there is no room for reconciliation between the Sussexes and the Wales– Prince William and Kate Middleton. The sources dismissed the rumors about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle being snubbed from the entertainment industry. If anything, the persisting negative rumors have only brought the couple together, and “they are stronger than ever”.
