In a world where children battle demo gorgons and reality is always one interdimensional rift away from chaos, one might expect a cast as strange as the creatures they face. However, there is no better antidote to a parallel universe full of nightmares than a dose of an unexpected father-daughter-like relationship, as proven by Millie Bobby Brown and Matthew Modine- the Papa who did his due diligence off-screen.

Having been at the center of Brown's wedding brouhaha for a while now, it seems Modine cannot stop talking about long after the bouquet has been thrown.

The grandmaster who orchestrated the debacle that was the experiment at the Hawkins lab could not have been any more different in real life. Captor and captive off screen, Matthew Modine turned wedding officiator for Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi. While he already stole hearts in the couples' Instagram post, Modine was not done just yet as a Page Six insider reported that they heard him gushing about the newlyweds as he attended an event at Nobu Downtown in NYC on Sunday.

Still beaming at the success in Italy, the actor reportedly joked about pursuing the wedding officiating business as a side gig. However, this joke could not land given the delays that the final season of Stranger Things has been meeting with time and again.

Given the absolute terror that he evoked in viewers solely through his on-screen presence in Stranger Things, it does not come as a surprise that Papa became his trademark role. In fact, the character went on to become larger than life to the extent that arguably one of the biggest movies of 2023 could not dim its shine, resulting in Modine's performance as Vannevar Bush in Oppenheimer being brushed under the rug. However, the actor ensured that his other roles did not meet the same fate.

Having been in showbiz for decades now, Matthew Modine's taste in scripts can only be described as spectacular. The actor recently picked The Martini Shot as his weapon of choice. The Martini Shot follows an ailing director as he puts in all the life he has left in him to direct one final project and brings Modine ample acclaim as he won Best Actor at the Cobb International Film Festival and more curtsy of the Indie film. With how the actor is allegedly seeking distribution for the same, it seems Matthew Modine has no plans of slowing down.
