Meghan Markle’s latest project, With Love, Meghan, is not just about pretty tablescapes and Instagram-worthy recipes. It also features a lineup of Hollywood pals, including Abigail Spencer, her former Suits co-star who played Dana Scott in the legal drama. Markle and Spencer go way back—they first met while auditioning for Suits and have been tight ever since. Now, it looks like their friendship will take center stage in one of the episodes Markle’s show, and fans could not be more excited to see their chemistry off-screen.
This exciting project came right after of Markle’s big return to Instagram after a nearly five-year hiatus. With her new handle, @meghan, she has been giving fans glimpses of her life again. In the show’s nearly two-minute trailer, Markle is seen strolling through lush vegetable gardens and sunlit fields. She is also shown carefully selecting flowers at a florist to create stunning table arrangements—a true Martha Stewart moment, if we may say—but Stewart would probably not like it. Of course, no Markle project is complete without a little drama.
As expected, the trailer received mixed reactions. Some fans loved it, while others brutally mocked it. And according to reports, she does not take the criticism lightly.
Will Meghan Markle conquer the lifestyle scene?
Before this, Meghan Markle launched her new brand, American Riviera Orchard, by sending jars of jam to her Hollywood inner circle. Her A-list friends shared glowing social media shout-outs, but fans were not quite as sweet about it. The jams were called out for being too expensive and, well, not all that special. According to royal author Tom Quinn, Markle was heartbroken over the backlash. In an interview with The Mirror, he said she was “in tears” and could no wrap her head around why her work is never being admired.

Royal biographer Angela Levin added to it too, telling GB News that Markle has been feeling “very low” about the harsh criticism. Levin described her as “thin-skinned,” saying the negativity has been tough for her to handle. With her brand now reaching a wider audience, the scrutiny has only grown louder. Now only time will tell if Markle can rise above the critics and reclaim her lifestyle crown or will this new Netflix lifestyle venture face the same fate as The Tig.
