Meghan Markle Recalls Prince Archie Insisting for a Leica Camera Like Hit Netflix Director in Exclusive Interview
Misan Harriman is one of the few industry friends that Meghan Markle holds dear. From photographing the first public portrait of Princess Lilibet to consistently advocating for the Sussexes, the 46-year-old has solidified his role as their reliable ally. And now, he has taken on the responsibility of passing his genius to the Sussexes’ eldest son, Prince Archie, as well.
Recently, Meghan Markle shared how Prince Archie is trying to follow in the footsteps of Harriman and also requested the same camera as the photographer.

Meghan Markle attended the screening of Netflix’s short film, The After, which marked Misan Harriman’s directorial debut. The exclusive event took place at a private residence in Montecito, California, where the Duchess shares a home with Prince Harry. During the conference that followed the screening, Meghan Markle recalled the time when Harriman taught photography to Prince Archie.
This prompted Markle to gift a camera to her son. However, Prince Archie was not entirely pleased with the camera he received as he wanted a Leica like Harriman. Meghan Markle held firm to her decision not to gift her little son such a costly camera. The 42-year-old told Prince Archie, “You are not getting a Leica”. She continued, “Not even for Christmas”. In the conversation, Markle also shared her thoughts on Harriman’s short film.

This theme also aligned with Markle’s non-profit charity organization, Archewell Foundation, which is dedicated to fostering global unity.
Misan Harriman also extended his gratitude to Markle for attending the screening of his first film through a post on X, formerly Twitter. The photographer shared how the attendance of idols like Markle added an extra shine to his movie’s screening. The heartwarming bond that Markle and Harriman share is evident in their constant support for each other.
