Owing to the creator’s involvement in the series, the fans were in awe of every casting choice of the series, even with the changes in the character arcs. With season 2 already announced, several new characters will be joining the Straw Hats on their adventures. 

As the dream casting of new actors for season 2 has already started making the rounds, Jamie Lee Curtis recently revealed a surprise for all One Piece fans.

It is now an open secret that Jamie Lee Curtis is a massive fan of Eiichiro Oda’s work. The actress has greatly appreciated and expressed her love for One Piece on multiple occasions. Moreover, the fans have been dream casting Curtis as Dr. Kureha since the series premiere. Much to their delight, the True Lies actress made an exciting revelation ahead of the series’s season 2. As per the fan site, One Piece Netflix Fan shared a fan art of Curtis as Dr. Kureha, confirming the same as they revealed, “Jamie Lee Curtis will lobby for the role of Dr. Kureha once the strike against AMPTP is settled.

This has not been the first time Curtis vouched to star in the series as Dr. Kureha. A while ago, the actress joked about starring in the Eiichiro Oda live-action series. However, this time, it seems like the actress is determined to lobby for a role in the blockbuster series. Meanwhile, a few fresh faces will join the series in season 2 as the crew will set sail soon. Interestingly, while the fans await the sequel’s release, the first season set a record recently.

Netflix has been on a roll with the release of One Piece’s started streaming. The Eiichiro Oda anime has taken the world by storm with its release. Interestingly, despite dominating the charts for multiple weeks, it seems like the manga series has no plans of stopping anytime soon. Not long ago, One Piece live-action series reached another milestone as it surpassed Stranger Things as well as Wednesday in Tomatometer rankings. 

As impressive as it may sound, the live-action series received a perfect score of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes. On the other hand, the show has garnered almost 75 million hours in views and 10 million in unique streams. Interestingly, the One Piece live-action series was bound to be a blockbuster since its release. Within just four days of its release, the show raked nearly 18 million views.
