The Reddit user captioned the post, “Is it me or does Zack Snyder’s new film “rebel moon” look like Krieg troops with a commissar.”

Krieg was the hub of insurgency against the Imperium of Man. One Reddit user took his stand, claiming how Krieg took inspiration from Germany’s Imperial Army in 1910. He also explained that the galactic world of the Rebel Moon could be inspired by the Nazis, hence the undertones of similarity. Some users also surfed deep into the French and German helmets, while others pointed to the conjunction of French and German aesthetics.

The project is slated for release on December 15th, 2023. Although Rebel Moon’s unveil is not far too long, Warhammer 40,000 is expanding its universe into a live-action series.

Amazon acquired the exclusive film and TV rights for the Warhammer 40,000 upcoming series last December. The adaptation has a star-studded cast with Henry Cavill assuming the executive producer’s seat. Not only that, he is also allegedly starring in the said Amazon series. Keeping in mind the speculations of similarities so far, it is just a waiting game for now to witness what Cavill brings to the table.
