Henry Cavill is one of the gems of Hollywood when it comes to executing eagle-eyed action scenes. However, the nervous jitters hit straight when it comes to dance. Therefore, speaking to Josh Horowitz for the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast, the actor spilled some beans weighing out the difficulties of filming an action choreography vs a dance choreography. For the latter part, Cavill seems to vouch for the “huge trusting relationship between the actor-director and the actor-producer” to ensure a flawless dance scene.
Be it from his time in the Immortals or whether it is from The Witcher, Cavill’s adeptness in commanding seamless one-shot battle sequences sets him a class apart. Horowitz, versed with Cavill’s caliber, posed the question of dance choreographies being “intimidating” as opposed to fight scenes. To which Cavill replied “It’s all choreography” but with the combat ones, you can alter changes on the given day unlike dance choreography which makes him go “Wait, you want me to do what?”.
Conversing about his trusting bond with Matthew Vaughn and how it helped in shaping Argylle, Henry Cavill also spoke about the times Vaughn came to the rescue when he felt like an “idiot”.

Furthermore, Cavill even emphasized that Vaughn pitches for trust till the final shot and if someone still “feels that you don’t like what you’re doing”, then that can be exempted. As it is, the leeway gives the actors a chance to be “free” and do things without pressure. Therefore, if someone has questions about Cavill and his dance in Argylle, it is definitely Matthew Vaughn who should do the answer.
