Last year, when Suits became the number-one show on Netflix for several weeks, everyone was convinced that Meghan Markle was about to make a big announcement- her return to acting. But, despite all that wishful thinking, nothing of the sort happened. Markle did not even join in the Suits reunion fun with the rest of the cast, let alone making an acting comeback. Just when fans had pretty much given up hope of the Duchess of Sussex ever returning to her acting roots, Markle surprised everyone again- this time, alongside her husband, Prince Harry. 

Thanks to Lindsay Lohan, Meghan Markle recently made a return to the small screens with a brand-new Netflix Christmas show. 

Lindsay Lohan recently starred in the latest Netflix Christmas movie, Our Little Secret. And surprisingly, the show had a brief, blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. In the film, Lohan’s character goes through a messy breakup with Ian Harding’s character back in 2014, which was followed by a credit sequence. In that sequence, the film flashes through major moments over the last ten years leading up to the film’s 2024 setting. And one of those moments featured the Sussexes.

A picture from the Sussexes’ wedding day in 2018 made a quick cameo in the Netflix show. While this definitely cannot be counted as the Suits alum’s acting comeback, having her featured in an acting project, even just for a second, alongside her royal husband is still a surprise no one saw coming. Apart from that, the Californian royals have been busy working on a few Netflix projects of their own as well. 

Another Year-Ending Brings Another Festive Snub for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry From the Royal Soil

One of these is the upcoming Polo show, which both Prince Harry and Markle produced. However, it has been labeled as a flop so far.

When Netflix announced Prince Harry’s Polo show, fans were sure they would see the Duke at the front and center of it. However, after seeing the trailer, fans pointed out that Prince Harry was nowhere to be seen. And even though Meghan Markle’s name was credited on the show, she was also missing in action. This left a lot of viewers disappointed. 

Many of Prince Harry’s own friends, the ones who have followed his polo-playing days growing up, did not hold back in criticizing the show either. Still, all hope is not lost for the Sussexes’ fans. There is another project on the way that would be hosted by Markle- a cooking show. If the rumors are true, it will be hitting the streaming giant next year. So even if Markle is not making a full-on acting comeback just yet, this could be the perfect opportunity for her to make a lifestyle comeback instead.
