All About Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Two Non-Fiction Projects for Their $100 Million Netflix Deal
When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Spotify deal went south in 2023, it was Netflix that became their only saving grace for Hollywood aspirations. Despite hitting it big with the most-watched Netflix documentary ever, certain media outlets just could not seem to let them have their moment. As their five-year Netflix contract nears its end, with no renewal in sight, the Duke and Duchess are making their final year count. The couple announced two brand-new projects before bidding farewell to the OTT platform.
Their upcoming two non-fictitious projects could be the game-changers they need to silence the naysayers once and for all.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are brewing up two fresh non-fiction projects with Netflix under their Archewell Productions banner, as they revealed on Sussex.com. Each series will dive into subjects that are close to their hearts. The first, with The Intellectual Property Corporation, will showcase Markle's expertise in a cooking and gardening series. The second, with Boardwalk Pictures, will be about professional polo, a sport the Duke has both played and organized charity matches during his royal and post-royal journey.
Apart from this, the Sussexes have also got their hands full with multiple documentaries, a scripted TV series, and a film adaptation in the pipeline. In February, Markle even sealed the deal with Lemonada Media podcast network, bringing her Archetypes podcast to all major podcast platforms for its first season. But when it comes to Netflix, there is still one challenge standing in their way.
Earlier this year, the Sussexes were dealt a blow as they lost a valuable member of their Archewell team.

In January of this year, Bennett Levine, a key player at Archewell Productions who had been promoted to the role of Archewell manager in 2022, parted ways with the royal team. Levine confirmed his departure through a social media post, stating, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position at Cinetic Media”. According to sources speaking to Richard Eden of the Daily Mail, "It's a blow to the company. There’s no doubt about that”.
Levine was also famous for his role in the 2022 documentary series Harry & Meghan, produced in collaboration with Archewell and Netflix. And his sudden exit raised a lot of doubts about the continuation of Netflix's partnership with Archewell. In light of this uncertainty, only time will tell if Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will stage a Hollywood comeback that resonates around the globe.
