Will Smith Teases an ‘Exciting’ Project Alongside Well-Known Music Artists, Including Jaden Smith
Will Smith‘s career took a hit following the slapgate incident that allegedly led to his ostracization from Hollywood circles. But it seems the actor is not one to take setbacks lying down. According to insiders from RadarOnline.com last year, Smith is down and eager to jump back into the rap game after hitting a rough patch in Tinsel Town. This did not seem too odd given Smith’s earlier days as a rap icon alongside DJ Jazzy Jeff before he switched gears to become the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
A recent social media post of Smith rubbing elbows with music big shots, however, has further got people talking about his potential return to the music scene after being off the radar for so long.

Will Smith took to Instagram recently to share a photo of himself with Jaden Smith, Tainy, Lex Borrero, and NEON16. But it was his caption that caught everyone’s attention. Through the caption, Smith hinted at an upcoming exciting project. He wrote, “excited for what we’re about to do,” in the caption. This picture followed last year’s reports of Smith’s desire to return to music, with the Class of ’88 podcast being his first step last year.
The Class of ’88 aimed to blend Smith’s nostalgia and love for rap music, providing listeners with a special peek into a golden era in the music scene. Smith also gave a direct hint at the musical comeback last year on his 55th birthday, when Joyner Lucas shared footage of the two in the studio together.
Besides paying tribute to one of the most influential actors ever, Lucas hinted at their upcoming joint musical project.

In his celebratory post, Joyner Lucas shared how surreal it still feels to have idolized Smith while growing up, even going as far as creating a record expressing his admiration for him. Finally, Lucas pitched the idea for Smith to collaborate on a complete album together. This project would mark Smith’s comeback to long-play records since 2005’s ‘Lost And Found’, though he has not completely disappeared from the music scene.
Will Smith also collaborated with Lucas on the remix of a track titled ‘Will’ to pay homage to his legendary TV and film career in 2020. Again in 2023, Lucas dropped ‘Devil’s Work Part 2,’ a track that reimagined various significant pop culture events, including a scenario where Smith had not slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars in March 2022. While the repercussions of the Oscar incident have been huge on Smith’s career, the actor is circling back to his musical roots to breathe new life into his career.
