Willow Smith’s track ‘Wait a Minute!’, the last single from her debut album ‘Ardipithecus’, recently reached over a billion streams on Spotify. To celebrate this milestone, Will Smith shared a photo of himself holding his phone with the Spotify screen visible, displaying the streaming numbers for Willow’s song. In the following slide, Will circled the ‘Wait a Minute!’ track to highlight its stream count. He captioned the post with a heartfelt message, acknowledging Willow as the only one in their family to surpass “a BILLION streams”.
Responding to the post, Willow left a comment saying “love u daddy“, along with a white heart emoji. Even though Will has previously admitted that the pressure for Willow to excel in the same manner as him and Jada Pinkett Smith had been excessive for their family, he appears to have made up for any shortcomings by wholeheartedly supporting his children. And this was not the first occurrence where he proved himself to be his daughter’s biggest supporter.
The Men In Black demonstrated the same level of support at the 2023 Coachella music festival too.

Will Smith quietly attended the first week of Coachella to witness his daughter Willow’s performance. Posting a video on his Instagram page from the heart of the audience, the 55-year-old actor captured Willow showcasing her talent on stage at the Mojave tent. Will’s joyful expression filled the clip, and he captioned the post saying, “WILLOWCHELLA!!“. A standout moment of her set was when Willow brought her brother, Jaden Smith, on stage.
Both siblings then performed their collaborative hit, ‘Summertime in Paris’. The Smith family is no stranger to the Coachella scene. In 2019, Will joined Jaden on stage to perform the latter’s single, ‘Icon’, with Willow also making an appearance during the show. Despite facing occasional controversies, it is this tight-knit bond within the Smith family that keeps them thriving and resilient.
