While the pop sensation had made her way to the event as she was nominated for an award, that did not stop her from cheering on her longtime friend, Emma Stone. Although it was coming from a place of love, the 34-year-old may have gone a little overboard with her cheering.

However, while some thought it was too much, the Poor Things star shared how she felt about the whole situation. She even shed some light on her friendship with the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer.

Last night’s Golden Globes were a huge night for Emma Stone. While Oppenheimer may have taken home most of the awards, she ended up winning Best Actress for her role in Poor Things. In a conversation with the media, after the event had ended, the Spiderman actress was asked about her long-time friend, Taylor Swift’s reaction to her name being announced. The 35-year-old immediately joked, “What an as***le.”

Stone went on to say that the two had known each other for “almost 20 years” and that she was “very happy” that the singer was there for her big moment. It ended up being one out of the two awards that the film won. Although the 34-year-old was present for the moment, she was there because she had been nominated for her own Golden Globe, which she unfortunately lost.

Just like last year’s VMAs, the award show gave the world many hilarious Swift moments. However, there was only one that ended up going viral after it made its way online.

Taylor Swift’s reaction to Jo Koy’s NFL joke

Last year, Taylor Swift and Travis Kecle not only over headlines with their romance, but they also blew away the NFL. Keeping that as the foundation, the host of the night cracked a joke that didn’t amuse the songstress. Jo Koy made a rather surprising joke about the difference between the award show and the matches. He then proceeded to say that it was the fact the ceremony would not center around the singer as much.

Ironically, that was when the camera cut to Swift, who was pursing her lips and sipping her wine. While she may have just been thirsty, fans could not help but wonder if she was left unimpressed by the comedian’s joke. However, Koy seems to have heard about the pop sensation’s reaction and only chose to defend his joke.
