After years of keeping those angel wings tucked away, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show made its grand comeback, making up for all the missed runway magic since 2018. But even in this ultimate glam fest, fans could not help but notice the absence of three fashion queens who were sorely missed.

While the angels spread their wings again, missing these three icons grabbing the fashion headlines at NYC's biggest night still left a little something lingering in the air.

Even though the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was primed for an epic comeback, three iconic couture queens, Taylor Swift, Gisele Bündchen, and Kendall Jenner, decided to take a pass on the big night. Swift, apparently living her best day off with Travis Kelce in NYC, had Gigi Hadid spilling the beans to Entertainment Tonight that Kelce will soon be off to Kansas City for practice, while Swift is getting ready to light up Miami on Friday for the Eras Tour.

Hadid quirkily hinted that Swift and Kelce probably chose a cozy night in, after a whirlwind weekend of dates, but assured everyone that Swift would be cheering her on from afar. As for Gisele Bündchen, she was a no-show too, likely because she formally no longer does the runway, as she spilled to O Globo earlier this year. As for Kendall Jenner, her reason for skipping the night is still a mystery waiting to be unraveled.

Obviously, no amount of fillers could replace the trio, but Hadid still gave it her all, throwing in a Swift-inspired tribute for her bestie.

Taylor Swift may have skipped the biggest fashion bash in NYC to prepare for her Eras Tour, but her BFF Gigi Hadid made sure the Taylor Swift effect still slayed at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Before hitting the runway, Hadid told Entertainment Tonight that she borrowed a little magic from Swift’s Eras Tour playbook; something she believes is totally new for the Victoria's Secret stage. 

Before beginning her walk on the runway, Hadid, therefore, channeled the singer’s signature wave from the tour. The supermodel said she picked it up during one of Swift's rehearsals of her tour and the pop star was sweet enough to help her perfect the same. Hence, even though Swift could not make it, Hadid brought a touch of Eras energy to the runway in a Swift way no one saw coming.
