Despite weathering storms in the big leagues, he has been cleverly forging a connection with fans through a surprisingly intimate vlog series. From YouTube vlogging, where he shared candid moments from his Bright promo tour to waving at crowds and commending his fanbase, he has now brought his vlogging skills to Instagram. 

In a recent vlog shoot, Will Smith’s video fell victim to sabotage at the hands of his own son, Jaden Smith. The star, not hiding his mild irritation, playfully branded his son a “joker” in response.

In the most recent Instagram video, Will Smith kicked off a vlog from the comfort of his home. However, as he started sharing something about his show, a piece of background music unexpectedly started playing, and to everyone’s surprise, it was Jaden Smith behind the interruption. Will Smith then turned his camera towards Jaden, playfully labeling him as the “joker” of the family. Jaden, wearing a nonchalant expression in his hooded jacket, responded by raising two fingers in a peace gesture and carried on in his way. 

Meanwhile, a slightly annoyed Will commented, “The Joker decides to play music just when I’m trying to shoot a vlog“. The actor then went on a little rant, complaining about how it felt like everyone, even his own kid, was out to get him. Will further captioned the post saying, “It’s always them middle children”. However, it appears that the term “joker” is used as a form of endearment within the Smith family as this was not the first they have used it.

There was a time when Will Smith earned the endearing title of the “joker” within the family, and it was none other than his wife who playfully dubbed him so.

On an episode of On Purpose with Jay Shetty via Associated Press last year, Jada Pinkett Smith appeared as a guest. The host invited her to share a letter from her husband, highlighting the small, meaningful things he does in their marriage. Initially, both the host and Jada laughed after reading the heartfelt letter. However, later Jada revealed that it is these actions that deter her from contemplating a divorce with Will. 

The 52-year-old stated, “I can’t divorce that joker“. This statement followed Jada’s surprising revelations about her marriage with Will. As the entire world turned against Jada, her family, including Will and Jaden, the two “jokers,” remained a supportive force during the tumultuous times. That said, it seems like both the father-son duo are living out the saying “Like father, like son,” and it could not have fit more snugly.
